Astrodia is a (round) world made up of oceans and land masses. We will be focusing on two continents: Valedrune to west – a collection of magical kingdoms that often battle with each other for territory and access to power/magic.
The Closed Land to the east – where there is less official governance or nations, instead made up of a collection of tribes and sects that primarily stick to themselves. That was the case until the relatively recent theocratic nation of Dogmatika began to spread its influence across the continent. There are other continents on the other side of the world that they may connect to, but they have little interaction with these two.
The great sea that separates Valedrune and the Closed Land is called the Expanse. It houses some island nations as well as some aquatic civilizations. (think of it as about the size of the Atlantic Ocean, so it is quite the journey to cross)
The great Ice Barrier encapsulates the South Pole and is home to a tribe of snowfarers who see to a great task.
Astrodia was almost destroyed by a cataclysmic event almost 100 years ago (later clarified by Tommy in Session 12 as about 150 years ago), but was thankfully saved by a small group of extremely powerful spellcasters. Many do not know exactly what happened to the group (except for one) or how they stopped the event.
Dragons play an important role in Astrodia. They are considered some of the most powerful beings in existence, almost to that of the gods, but they are rarely seen and rarely interact with mortals.
Solemn Pantheon is the collection of gods the people of Astrodia choose most often to worship. Led by an all-powerful creator, simply referred to as the Solemn, the lesser gods, called the Agents, are the gods with specialized domains most religious folks choose from as a primary deity. These gods as well as a collection of angels are said to reside in the Sanctuary in the Sky. They are directly opposed by Darklords, devils said to be fallen angels who rebelled against the Solemn Pantheon.
