The campus of Lorehold College, one of the five colleges of The Academy of Arcane Arts.
Description
A desert canyon city of stark mesas and steep hills, located northeast of the main campus (the Acropolis). Pillardrop is built from and around the excavated ruins of an ancient, unknown settlement — fitting for Lorehold’s focus on history and archaeology. The city is a mix of carved cliff-halls hewn into the canyon walls, new construction, and precarious bridges that pass alongside enormous ancient stone statue-faces.
It is reached by teleportation circle.
Historical Context
Towering star arches and rocky peaks testify to the powerful magical entities that once dwelled here — energy once harnessed by the Agents who inhabited the land. The original builders of the ruins remain unknown, and uncovering their identity is part of Lorehold’s ongoing work.
