A 4th-year Lorehold student at The Academy of Arcane Arts and a leader of the S.A.T.O. (the “Satyrs”). Myrna is researching a thesis on Leith Chantos, a historical orc figure with ties to the War Rock Mountains. Beneath the eager academic is a sharp, careful operator — the one who planned the party’s covert extraction to the Lathen safehouse.

She believes she has located Leith Chantos’s final library — about a 4-day trek northeast of the Academy in the mountains — and hired the party to explore it, recover the Nath Loom, and return it to her.

Role in the S.A.T.O.

Myrna is the group’s organizer and public face. Her family’s wealth and beach house gave the Satyrs their safehouse, and she handles the logistics — teleport fees, runes, gifts, and the cover stories that keep the group beneath the Academy’s notice. The Nath Loom commission was both a genuine research need and a test of whether The Fallen were the outside adventuring arm the Satyrs needed. They passed.

The Quest (Lost Library)

Myrna had a research partner named Powell, a skilled wizard. They parted ways, and Powell hired mercenaries (including goblins and hobgoblins) to claim the Nath Loom for herself. Powell had about a one-day head start on the party.

Payment Offered

  • 100 gold per person
  • Acknowledgment in her Lorehold thesis
  • Access to look through the Nath Loom
  • Any dungeon loot found is the party’s to keep
  • A Scroll of Teleportation as a down payment (includes main campus teleportation circle glyphs)

Background

  • Her parents own a vineyard south of Lorehold; the family is wealthy.
  • The family’s vacation beach house in Lathen now serves as the S.A.T.O. safehouse, reachable by teleport rune.
  • Noticed Úlfr and asked if he was a Goliath or descendant of giants. He deflected. She mentioned hearing that giants have some connection to the university — an early thread toward the Academy’s hidden nature (see The Academy of Arcane Arts).
  • Can usually be found at the Fire Jolt Café most afternoons, or in her dorm in Pillardrop.

Session 6 Developments

  • The party returned the Nath Loom and Leith Chantos’s personal journal to Myrna at the Fire Jolt Café. She was overjoyed — the journal fills the gaps in her research and will vindicate her thesis completely. She confirmed the party retains access to read the Nath Loom anytime.
  • Unable to hand over 600 gold in public, she invited the party to her Lorehold dorm in Pillardrop that evening, covering the teleport fee.
  • In her dorm she cracked open an “expensive celebratory bottle of wine” that was secretly a sleeping draught. She insisted “You have to trust me — this is for Asha’s sake,” and Asha’s insight confirmed she was not malicious. The wine let her transport the group undetected to the safehouse, not to harm them. (Asha didn’t drink and stayed awake the whole way.)
  • The party woke unrestrained, gear intact, in the basement of her family’s beach house in Lathen.
  • Revealed as a leader of the S.A.T.O., the secret cohort working to clear Asha’s name and uncover the truth behind the fourth magic and the forbidden White Forest research.

Gifts to The Fallen

  • 100 gp per member
  • A pair of Sending Stones
  • Teleport runes to return to the Lathen safehouse anytime (she covers all teleport fees going forward)
  • A bottle of the (untampered) celebratory wine for a real toast

Session 7 Developments

  • Hosted The Fallen at the family beach house in Lathen, where the party met the Nor family butler, Archibald — an improbably powerful spellcaster who teleports the S.A.T.O. between campuses.
  • Was hurt and annoyed when Drolta, Red, and Leif tried to break into a locked upstairs room — her father’s private study. She refused to open it (“you could have just asked me”), but forgave the party after a dinner-table apology.
  • Confirmed her family runs a cross-continental shipping / supply-chain business through the port; may be able to arrange passage by sea/river toward Pentamarone.
  • S.A.T.O. tasks going forward: Simone will trace who donated the star-tablet Asha translated (the artifact that got her expelled); Tobin will dig into the Sinful Spoils (how many, what they are). Contact via the Sending Stones (once/day).

Session 9 Developments

Her first Satyr task, and she nailed it. With four horses at 75 gp threatening to drain the party’s entire purse, The Fallen used the Sending Stones to send Myrna the teleportation runes they had copied from the roof of Morgana’s Tower and a request for a lift — squeezed into the stones’ 25-word limit, with 10 of those words spent on the runes themselves.

She succeeded, and sent Archibald through the circle, who teleported the party the last leg to the Nephthys temple and turned a two-day walk into a morning. His parting terms make her an ongoing logistics line: “Should you need me again, just ask Myrna” — wherever there’s a circle to post to.

She is now free for a new assignment. (She got one in Session 12; see below.)

Session 12 Assignment (September 23, 2026)

Asked for the history of Marseille, the place Aren now wants to visit for its “interesting ways of magic” and possibly where Marka studied. No result yet. See Session 12 Recap — Something from Nothing > Word to the Satyrs.
