A chamber within the Biblioplex, the grand central library of The Academy of Arcane Arts. At its centre sits a Snarl — a knotted, tangled essence of pure magic that serves as the power source for the entire university and affects magic around it in unpredictable ways.
The Fallen walked through it in Session 3 and did not linger.
The Oracle
Separately, and never explained, Asha has told the party that an Oracle of the Academy exists somewhere within the school — supposedly the most powerful being there, and not remotely approachable.
Whether the Oracle is the Snarl in this hall, lives beside it, or is something else entirely is unknown.
Session 11 — The Repo Man Lead (September 9, 2026)
Tobin, reporting from inside the Arcane Reclamation Initiative on a 99, could not say what the Academy’s “repo man” actually is — only this:
“Don’t know exactly what repo man is. Some kind of experiment academy is working on. Oracle may be involved.”
The party’s read: the repo man may not be a man. The table’s leading theory is the Academy’s cogwork constructs, powered or directed by whatever sits in this hall.
That was the best answer a near-perfect roll could produce, which the party took as a warning in itself. Tobin’s standing assignment is now the Oracle: send all you can.
