The Sundered Watch (name as heard at the table — unconfirmed) is a small adventuring party of resistance fighters against the Endymion Empire who move from town to town. The Fallen first met them in Session 11, cornering Aleister the Invoker in a back alley of Pentamarone, and fought Cocytus alongside them. They introduced themselves by name in Session 12.
“We’re a group that we call the Sundered Watch. We’re a group of resistance fighters against the Endymion Empire. So we kind of go from town to town.”
Mission
- Resisting the Endymion Empire, working town to town. Nothing more about their aims, operations, or allies has been established.
- Right now: hunting Aleister the Invoker. They have been on his trail for weeks, and after patching up in Pentamarone they plan to get back on it.
Their Grievance with Aleister
Their account, told in full in Session 12:
- They met Aleister in a town far to the north, where he offered to help them explore a set of ruins rumored to hold a magical artifact.
- Underground they were overrun by undead. Aleister summoned one of his creatures to fight them off.
- While the fighting went on, he walked straight to the artifact and took it: a sword. He decided it “wasn’t going to be able to help him,” tossed it aside, and fled.
- His summon killed the undead and then turned on them. Two of their friends died. The survivors only made it out because the creature “got bored of us.”
The location of the ruins has not been identified. Úlfr made sure Aren heard about the undead-infested ruins, as a possible lead for her mission.

Relations with The Fallen
After the fight, the Watch apologized for dragging the party into it. The party gave them the name of their inn and said they’d be in town at least the week. Both sides agreed adventurers should stick together.
