Purodetapo Forest

2 min read

The Purodetapo Forest is home to Leif Kalanchoe and the Unending Sky Clan of orc druids. It lies south of the Terget Forest and just north of the War Rock Mountains. Life there isn’t always easy (even the vegetation has teeth), and the forest sits directly in the path of the Great Cataclysm and of the fourth magic that runs along it.

Significance

  • Leif’s home. His parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and three younger sisters live there. His sister’s mysterious illness is the reason he gives for leaving.
  • On the Cataclysm’s path. On Simone’s magic map, the green fourth-magic line runs from the northwest of the Endymion Empire southeast through the Purodetapo. Leif began hearing voices after meditating in the forest (see The Orb).
  • Where Leif’s patron first reached him, and where Howl was found with an injured wing. She later brought him the glass orb he uses as a focus.

Session 11: Two Powers Take Notice (September 9, 2026)

  • Madame Verre went still at the name of the forest when Leif explained where the orb came from: “The Purodetapo Forest, you say.” She reversed herself on housing the party on the spot.
  • Aleister the Invoker, told that Leif found Howl there, said: “How interesting. The Purodetapo Forest, you say. I’ll have to make a visit there.”

Session 12: Sorath Probably Lives Here (September 23, 2026)

Per Madame Verre, via Leif, Leif’s patron Sorath is a being not of this world that probably came through the Great Cataclysm’s rift and is probably living in the Purodetapo Forest. Aleister the Invoker has fought Sorath before, and he is the man who said he would visit. The Sundered Watch mean to get back on his trail, but where he went after Pentamarone is not established.

First Appeared

Session 0: named as Leif’s home forest, south of the Terget Forest. Session 11 (September 9, 2026) drew the interest of Madame Verre and Aleister; Session 12 (September 23, 2026) revealed it as Sorath’s likely home.
