Pluto is the Agent of Death in the Solemn Pantheon.

Followers

Clerics of Pluto hunt necromancers and undead—those who seek to extend life past their mortal time.

Aren Greycloak - A cleric who found faith after hearing a sermon about Pluto while wandering the Endymion Empire. She was granted divine power, including the ability to detect undead via her pendant.

Worship

Pluto is not widely worshipped in the crafting city of Pentamarone. Asked in Session 11 whether there was a temple to him anywhere in the city, the WitchCrafters said no — the city’s faith runs almost entirely to Venus, the Agent of Creation. Aren has yet to find anywhere in the north to pay her respects.

Session 12 — Enemies of Pluto (September 23, 2026)

In the library beneath the Temple of Venus, Aren read about Pluto’s enemies. It was mostly necromancers and other things she already knew, with one exception: The Prophecy Destroyer (as heard — unconfirmed), thought to have been an enemy of Pluto in some unknown capacity.

Aren’s Fear — a Spoil Against Death

(Party speculation.) After the WitchCrafters concluded that the Golden Chalice is “sinful” because it violates Venus’s domain, the party wondered whether each Sinful Spoil mocks a different Agent. Red suggested the white gown might be a mockery of a burial shroud — a Spoil against Pluto — and the lance was floated as either Mars or Pluto.

Aren became very concerned that a Spoil might rebuke her god, and about what a rebuke of death would look like: unnatural, eternal life. That pointed the party at Madame Verre — suspiciously long-lived, and dressed in white. (Aren later learned privately that Verre is not undead; her condition was an accident of eternal-youth research, and she is still aging. Whether she carries a Spoil is unknown.)

Doctrine

Pluto’s doctrine is compatible with the faith of Nephthys and the Phoenix worship, as both oppose unnatural undeath.
