Collection of gods the people of Astrodia choose most often to worship. Led by an all-powerful creator, simply referred to as the Solemn, the lesser gods, called the Agents, are the gods with specialized domains most religious folks choose from as a primary deity. These gods as well as a collection of angels are said to reside in the Sanctuary in the Sky.
Session 12 — Scripture at the Temple of Venus (September 23, 2026)
The books in the entry hall of the Temple of Venus in Pentamarone give the temple’s account of the cosmology:
- The Solemn created the world, made the Agents to govern its domains, and then receded into the ether — a deist creator, like a clock-winder who sets the world going and steps back.
- Below the Agents were the angels. Some of them, the Dark Lords, rebelled and fell; the first was the Morning Star. What caused the rebellion is disputed (one fringe sect credits She Who Fell Before the First Fall).
The priest added that there is no documented ill will between the Agents; they respect each other’s domains.
The temple’s basement mural shows the Solemn and his host casting down the Morning Star’s armies. (An observation from the table, not established: the Solemn there is a heavily built man with a long white beard in pale robes — close to the man Asha saw attacked in her Session 10 vision. See The Seeker of the Sinful Spoils.)
Rival Faith
The priest identified the Church of Dogmatika as claiming a new deity separate from the Solemn and rejecting the Solemn Pantheon outright. See God of Dogmatika.
