Continuing the Lost Library of Leith Chantos
The party resumed their short rest in the supply room and pressed deeper into the library. Intelligence gathered during scouting placed the goblins on the first floor of the circular library while the party had access to the second floor balcony above them — a tactical advantage.
Goblin Battles
Powell’s goblin mercenaries — a competing team sent to claim the Nath Loom — engaged the party in several skirmishes throughout the library. The goblins were working against the clock just as the party was, making them aggressive and persistent.

The Poison Gas Room
The party encountered a poison gas trap room somewhere in the library’s depths. They navigated or survived it before pressing on toward Powell.
Confronting Powell
The party tracked down Powell, Myrna Nor’s former research partner and rival. She had reached the Nath Loom first and was prepared to defend it.
The party defeated Powell in combat and claimed the Nath Loom — the spellbook of poisons and antidotes compiled by Leith Chantos over a lifetime of grief and study.
Subplots & Conversations
- Vampire Lore — Drolta’s nature came up; the party may have learned more about vampiric abilities or limitations.
- Asha and Red had a private conversation about Leif’s anomalous Starry Wisp casting, continuing the thread from Session 4.
The Mimic
While continuing to explore the library after securing the Nath Loom, the party discovered a mimic disguised among the books or furniture. They fought and defeated it.
(Note: The black oily substance found on the mimic in the Biblioplex earlier in the campaign has been a recurring element — whether this mimic is connected to Murgaxor’s tampering remains an open question.)

- Murgaxor — Expelled Bullywug student, prime suspect behind the tampered mimic and the enchanted frogs. The mimic encountered this session may or may not be connected.
- Leif’s Starry Wisp Anomaly — Asha and Red discussed it this session. Still unexplained.
- Úlfr’s “Fires Burn” — Axe-fire ability from a dream. Origin still unknown.
- The Magical Amulet — Divination magic, found on a skeleton in the bear’s cave. Still unidentified (needs Identify spell).

Next Session
The party has the Nath Loom and is still inside the Lost Library of Leith Chantos. They hold the Scroll of Teleportation back to campus when ready. Returning to Myrna Nor to collect their reward — and deciding what to do with what they’ve read in the Nath Loom — is the immediate next step.
