Schmietta is the WitchCrafters’ smith — the guild’s weapon-maker, and the only master with a forge. She is also the guild’s second refugee from the Endymion Empire, alongside Genni.
Background
She grew up in a small crafting village inside the Endymion Empire, known for its forges. She learned the trade there and was good at it.
“But their army came. I wanted to get away.”
She reached Pentamarone with nothing, started at the bottom — internships, apprenticeships — and worked her way up over years. “And now I make very good weapons.”
Asked whether she has had any trouble with the Empire since: none. Whatever agreement holds between Pentamarone and the Empire, “it stands strong.” She has never had an issue since the day she arrived.
Session 11 (September 9, 2026)
Assigned to the materials team with Edel — establishing what the Golden Chalice is physically made of and whether the metal or the set jewels can be dated.
When Madame Verre opened the floor to the party, Úlfr asked whether any of the work needed brute force. Schmietta spoke up immediately — “I could always use help in my forge” — and Úlfr spent the montage swinging a hammer for her, on Athletics with advantage.
She joined the guild’s night out with Seed, Edel, and Marka.
Session 12 (September 23, 2026)
- Fireworks: she showed Aren and Asha how she treats and presses the gunpowder for the guild’s festival show.
- Úlfr was back at her forge (Athletics) on the final research day.
- Her team’s findings (materials, with Edel and Úlfr) led the report on the Golden Chalice: indestructible, age undeterminable, and gold too pure for any mine — as if someone crafted it out of the idea of the pure essence of gold. “Too pure to be made of this earth.”
