An orc Witherbloom student at The Academy of Arcane Arts and a member of the S.A.T.O. — an old friend from Asha’s Academy cohort. He works at the campus magic labs and is in the Fantastical Horticulture Club, a dedicated plant-nerd. He is the Satyr Leif befriended in the Biblioplex back in Session 3, before either knew the other’s secrets.
How the Party Knows Him
In the Biblioplex (Session 3), Leif and Ersmatok hit it off over a shared love of plants — a genuine bond between two herbology-minded students. He told Leif he could usually be found on the Witherbloom campus, working the magic labs. Neither realized at the time that they’d meet again across the table in the Lathen safehouse, where Ersmatok was revealed as one of the Satyrs.
Role in the S.A.T.O.
Ersmatok’s posting in Witherbloom’s magic labs makes him the group’s hands-on labs-and-botany contact. At the safehouse reveal he showed an unexpected theatrical streak, summing himself up:
“I am my own fan… but I believe in telling a good story.”
